The 30th Apayao Founding Anniversary commenced today January 28, 2025, at BGVJR Memorial Sports Gymnasium- Poblacion, Luna, Apayao. The Local Government Unit of Pudtol, spearheaded by Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua, Municipal Key Officials together with the participating athletes proudly represented the municipality as a whole. Mayor Pascua, who is also the League of Municipalities (LMP) President started delivering his message by highlighting the advancement of Apayao. He stated- “Obviously, we are now enjoying progress through the efforts of our Founder, the late Elias K. Bulut, Sr., Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut Begtang, and all the leaders of the province of Apayao. He also highlighted one of the greatest achievements of Apayao being declared by UNESCO as the 4th Biosphere Reserve in the Philippines due to its rich biodiversity and ecological significance, no wonder the province has been awarded such an accomplishment. Mayor Pascua also proudly expressed his remarks that even in the athletic meets and other competitions, Apayao boasts a variety of athletes who have excelled in different sports, reflecting the strong support and recognition given to their efforts by our leaders. The speech concluded with a declaration that all towns in Apayao are now experiencing significant development, thanks to the harmonious collaboration among the Provincial Government, Congress, municipalities, barangays, and National Line Agencies.
